If I was in the Circus what act would i do and why?

If I was in a Circus, I would want to be a Trapeze artist.
This is because I think it would be really fun and exciting swing near the roof of the arena. Which would be amazing!!!!

Types of Trapeze

  • Static trapeze refers to a trapeze act in which the performer moves around the bar and ropes, performing a wide range of movements including balances, drops, hangs while the bar itself stays generally static. The difficulty on a static trapeze is making every move look effortless. It is like dance, in that most people of a reasonable level of strength can get onto the trapeze bar for the first time and some basic tricks, but an experienced artist will do them with much more grace and style.
  • Swinging trapeze (or swinging single trapeze) refers to an act performed on a trapeze swinging in a forward - backward motion. The performer builds up swing from a still position, and uses the momentum of the swing to execute the tricks. Usually tricks on a swinging trapeze are thrown on the peaks of the swing and involve dynamic movements that require precise timing. Most of the tricks begin with the performer sitting or standing on the bar and end with the performer catching the bar in his/her hands or in an ankle hang (hanging by the ankles by bracing them between the rope and the bar). This act requires a great deal of strength, grace, and flexibility. The trapeze bar is weighted and often has cable inside the supporting ropes for extra strength to withstand the dynamic forces of the swing.
  • Flying trapeze refers to a trapeze act where a performer, or "flyer," grabs the trapeze bar and jumps off a high platform, or pedestal board, so that gravity creates the swing. The swing's parts are the "force out" (sometimes called the "cast out") at the far end of the first swing, the beat back and the rise (a.k.a. "seven") as the performer swings back above the pedestal board, and then the trick is thrown at the far end of the second swing. The performer often releases the bar and is caught by another performer, the "catcher," who hangs by his or her knees on another trapeze, or sometimes on a cradle, which can be either stationary or also swinging. People of any size are able to execute basic trapeze manoeuvres. Flying trapeze is generally done over a net or occasionally over water.

So  all in all I really think that being a Trapeze Artist would seriously awesome but scary at the same time because you would be along way from the ground.

If you could be any type of sandwich what would you be and why?

If you could be any sandwich what would I be and why?

If I could be a sandwich I would want to be a Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich. I don't know why but I would really like to be this sandwich, it's probably because my favourite foods are bacon and cheese and because it is very nice to eat in a cold morning because it gives you warmth.

The ingredients in this sandwich go very well together because they each hold a similar flavour that mixes well with the other ingredients. The bacon holds a rich and savoury flavour that can be sweet depending on the type of bacon and whether it has been cured or not. The best type of cheese to put in a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich in my opinion is Noble Tasty Cheese. I think this because this type of cheese tastes very rich which tastes really good with the bacon and a runny egg. I’m pretty sure you know what an egg tastes like so hopefully I don’t have to explain what it tastes like but it goes very well with bacon and melted cheese in bread.

As you can probably tell I really enjoy bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. Especially in the mornings.

Sport Science - my first results, exercises completed, what was hardest, what was the best and why?

Sport Science

The exercises that we had to complete were the beep test, twelve minute run, vertical jump, standing broad jump, skipping 1-minute, pull ups, press ups and the hanging knee lift's.

The hardest thing for me to complete was the Pull-ups. But no one in our class could really do them, only a two or three people can do them.
My favourite exercise was Skipping for one-minute. This is because I enjoy Skipping and am quite good at it but I like to test myself and go faster than I normally do.

We also learnt about the muscles in our body, how they work, what it looks like inside the muscle and how grow inside us.

My Results for the Exercises:

Hanging knee lift9
press up1
pull ups
beep test2.7
vertical jump2.6
standing broad jump1.33m
12 minute run10
skipping-1 minute81
Bounds10
Depth jump0
Shuttle run0

I really enjoyed most of the learning sessions and I loved how we got to go out side instead of spending the whole time inside the class room. Actually, we spent more time learning outside than inside. But over all it was awesome!!

The Difficult Things About Being My Age.

The most difficult things about being my age is:
Being Thirteen is alright sure your another year older and are a bit freer to do what you want but here are some of the down sides of getting older.

Been taken too seriously or not seriously enough by adults who don't know me. Another one is when I'm being asked what College or University I go to when I still go to Primary School! It is really annoying how many people actually ask me that.

One that my family struggles with is the fact that because I'm thirteen they have no idea what to get me for Christmas, Birthday or just as a gift. They don't what type of things that I would like such as books, music, movies. You know stuff like that.

Its also quite hard because I'm a bit mature for my age so I might not find a joke that one of my friends say that funny while the rest of them are cracking up laughing at what she said and I'll be sitting there looking at them like 'you gotta be kidding me'

Another bad thing about being my age is the mood swings that we have because it can effects everyone around us.

If I was a Superhero my powers would be and why?

If I was a Super Hero my powers would be and why?

If I was a superhero I would want my powers to be invulnerability, telepathy, mind control, omniliguilsm, super human agility and intangibility.

You probably have no idea what any of these are do you? Oh well, I should probably tell you.

-Invulnerability:
Invulnerability grants a hero immunity to one or more forms of physical damage. If you possessed this power you wouldn't have any bruises or cuts to show that you have been in fight.

-Telepathy:
Telepathy is when you can read someones mind or thoughts. You could have a private conversation with your best friend in public and no one would ever know.

-Mind control:
With mind control you persuade people to do stuff for you. The best part you could if you actually wanted to (which you probably will) brainwash your parents to let you go where you want and do what you want when you want.

-Omniliguilsm:
Omniliguism (Ugh, that is such a long word) is the ability to understand any form of language. You travel around the world and never have to worry about the language barrier if you had this power. Plus you could ace every language class in school.

-Super human agility:
Even Chuck Norris couldn't stand a chance against you in a fight if you this power. With your super fast reflexes, awesome flexibility and great jumping capacity you would defiantly get the upper hand in a fight.

-Intangibility:
If you possessed Intangibility you would have the ability to walk through solid objects such as a wall or door. You would never be locked out of your house or car because a key wouldn't be necessary.

-Water Breathing
If you had the power of water breathing you could breath under water like a fish. You would be able to go scuba diving without an oxygen tank and if you need to make a quick get away through water your power would be very useful.
